MORE THAN MUSIC

At Hope City we have a passion to see worshipers developed in our city and to the ends of the earth. Hope City Worship strives to create an environment where people can encounter Christ through authentic worship. Worship is more than just the songs we sing. Worship shows up in the life we live. Every moment of every day provides an opportunity to glorify God. Wherever you are in this journey, Hope City Worship meets you there.

We desire to write songs that are relevant to our world and reflect what is happening in the life of our church. We want to focus on Jesus and the mission of God in our world!

THE STORY BEHIND
“MY HOPE”

Everyone has dark days. You may find yourself living in the shadow of hurt, habits, or hangups. And yet because of Jesus hope has snuck in. Hope changes things.

These lyrics were birthed during a time at Hope City when finances were tight, and we were wondering how would God provide?

One night, in the middle of the darkest night, hope broke through. God met our need in a miraculous way. Anytime that God moves, you better stop and spend a moment giving thanks, and worshipping Him for who He is. This song is written from that place.

We also included the lyrics below so be sure to check them out!

“MY HOPE” LYRICS

Verse 1

I choose to bend my knee

I fall on my face

Because you amaze me

I sing your praise

Verse 2

Mountains move at your voice

Seas part at your word

Life restored with your breath

You are the Lord

Pre Chorus

In my darkest night

You shine so bright

In my deepest fear

show me You are near

Chorus

In you mountains move

Death comes to life

Jesus, you’re my hope

my hope for living

Oh Lord have your way

And I’ll surrender all

Jesus, you’re my hope

My hope for living

Bridge

Take my life, and let it be

Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days,

Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
